Repeating Forms and Events

Repeating forms and events must be handled very carefully, as YES3 Exporter II does not have guardrails to prevent inappropriate export specifications.

A maxim for building export specifications is to ensure that a given export includes only data elements that either (a) do not repeat or (b) repeat together.

The export guidelines arising from this maxim are:

1. Vertical layouts must be used for repeating forms and repeating events.
2. A vertical export based on a repeating form or repeating event must consist solely of that form or event. Do not mix different repeating forms and/or repeating events.

HEED WELL: YES3 Exporter II will alert you whenever an export has a mixture of repeating and non-repeating entities, but it will not prevent you from adding more than one repeating form or repeating event to an export.
